Vatican City then headed home

As I finish up sharing my trip to Europe, I have started making plans to go to Australia.  Its hard to believe that it has been a year already since my last adventure.

I must say a great way of finish up this amazing trip is going to the Vatican. My Aunt and I had purchased our tickets for the museum a head of time to avoid the lines. Highly recommend do this. As we waited for out time to enter the museum, we decided to walk around a bit. We decided to go in to Vatican City. We noticed that there were large crowds forming. Turns out that on Wednesdays that Pope Francis has a papal audience and gives mass.
.

We decided that you cant come to Vatican City and not see the Pope if he is having mass. There was a few hours before it stat, so we went to the museum.

The last supper painted by Leonardo da Vinci

The tombs were just fantastic to see, such great detail, telling a story.

I snuck of picture of the Sistine Chapel, painted by Michelangelo

We had seen art by the most famous artist in the world. Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo, Michelangelo ( Wanted to start breaking out in to the Ninja Turtle theme song) and many more.

When we made it back to the court yard, there were thousands of people.

You can kind of see Pope Francis, His is the one in white

There were huge TV screens, so everyone would be able to see him and the priests.

I had to get a selfie with Pope Francis, so people would believe that I was there.

We were able to hear Pope Francis, give prayer in Latin. I didn't understand it, but felt it. Before the mass ended there was singing. People from all over the world singing together. It was quit amazing and beautiful.

Truly blessed to have had that experience.

Oh, hello Paire

My Aunt and I hopped on a train to Paire from Germany. It was about a 3 hour train ride. Seats were comfy. If you can pay a little extra for the leg room. All aboard You can see much of the most beautiful country side this way.  Stopped for a spot of tea. YAY, its the Eiffel tower. I always thought it was amazing in pictures but to see it in person was breath taking.  Louvre  Saw the famous Mona Lisa . I would recommend making this your first stop. There can be a lot pushy people trying to get a look at her. Norte Dame  I had climbed the 402 narrow steps to the bell tower. While I was up there the bells where ringing. Such an amazing sound. I was able to record it on my phone. ( Cant figure out how to share it with you guys, sorry)  I don't remember how many steps it was to the very top of the tower. But I did it and once again the view was breath taki...

Welcome to

Scotland There should be no surprise that us girls would go here.  The first day we drove around and found a really cute B and B. The next day we picked up Kristlynne. ( that's Kristas sister in law) I know what your thinking two crazy gals was trouble but three crazy gals. All 3 of us have some kind of connection with Scotland. As we were driving back from Sterling we stopped at the  Kelpies . These horse heads are huge. They can be seen from the highway. A lot of creativity and work when into creating these. As an artist I can really respect what the artist has created. ...

Monterey Fun

My friend Skyler was leaving for a Coast Guard trade school. She is going to go for MST, that is a marina science technician. We thought we should go on one more trip before she left. So we  headed off to one of our favorite places MONTEREY. While we were there we thought it would be fun to go diving. SOOO we did what any mermaid would do but go to the local dive shop, rent some gear and went diving.  The weather was a perfect 80 degrees. The water temperature was a freezing 50 degrees.  (Just a little cold) Here are a few pictures of the dive. This was a large Sea Hare Slug. He was close to a foot long  (Fun fact they can grow up to 16in long) I have not seen so many sand dollars in one place.  It was a really neat thing to see. That little white speck is an octopus (Just a baby) That's me That's Skyler We also went  looking for Mermaid Tears (sea glass, found a good amount) and did some shopping...
