Oh, hello Paire

My Aunt and I hopped on a train to Paire from Germany. It was about a 3 hour train ride. Seats were comfy. If you can pay a little extra for the leg room.

All aboard

You can see much of the most beautiful country side this way.

Stopped for a spot of tea.

YAY, its the Eiffel tower. I always thought it was amazing in pictures but to see it in person was breath taking.

Saw the famous Mona Lisa. I would recommend making this your first stop. There can be a lot pushy people trying to get a look at her.

I had climbed the 402 narrow steps to the bell tower. While I was up there the bells where ringing. Such an amazing sound. I was able to record it on my phone. ( Cant figure out how to share it with you guys, sorry)

I don't remember how many steps it was to the very top of the tower. But I did it and once again the view was breath taking.

Celebrating after making it back to the bottom.

This is a must see and a must do. It is in the red light district, the shop windows have some very interesting souvenirs. You can take the Metro. We took the city bus tour earlier in the day. Then took it to this part of Paris and took a cab back to the hotel.  You can get your tickets through Vistor. We splurged, dinner and the show. ($150.00 included a 5 course meal, we each got a half bottle of wine to ourselves, great seats and a great show) Pictures were not aloud to be taken inside. They do walk around and take pictures of you at your table, those pictures are $20.

More of France to come!!

Stops in Italy, Pompeii

There's only a few more stops till I head back to the good ole US of A. One of the stops was Pompeii . This was a very interesting stop. Its amazing to see what had survived after so many years. I would recommend trying to be in with one of the first tour groups. This is only opened for a few hours in the morning, then a few hours in the late afternoon. There were sooooo many people as the day went on. There is a small street market to shop while you wait for it to open and some good places to eat. Even in 79 A.D there was a red light district. Yes, you do see something in the bottom right corner, hehe That's how you know where you were at. The tile patterns are so pretty and unique. The pattern below tells you, who's house you are at. Its what was used as an address. Some pottery that had survived    The roof of one of the many bath houses Statues like this can be found in the rich homes and was used...
