Normandy

During the trip, I felt that it was only appropriate to visit Normandy. I can't even imagine what those young boys where thinking as they were getting off the boats on D-day. All of the memorials were done very well and will leave you speechless

 

Germany Pillbox 

This is the view from inside. Very narrow opening. 

 

 

 

Notice the color difference. Those young men where dropped off where the dark shade starts. It was high tide when we visited. Its a very long beach during low tide.

If you look to the upper left right above the red roof, you will see a pillbox.

  

 

This wall is huge and long with all the names of all the Missing in Action

Yes the Coast Guard was involved in the invasion, hard to believed that we only had one person missing.
