Capri Italy

The island of Capri is a beautiful one. Here is just a few pictures that I thought everyone would enjoy. We are off and headed to the Island  This is a Italy Coast Guard boat. Once a Coastie, always a Coastie.  It looks like, they don't want cars driven into the water.  The roads are very narrow. This is a very cute small town.  It was surprising and scary at how close the drivers would get to each other.  Picture from the top of the island. What a view!!!!  This is how big the buses are, on this tiny little island. Headed to the famous Blue Grotto Sunlight, passing through an underwater cavity and shining through the seawater, creates a blue reflection that illuminates the cavern The water gets a darker blue the further you go in.  After the Grotto, boarded the boat that would be taking us back to Sorrento, Italy.    ...

Normandy

During the trip, I felt that it was only appropriate to visit Normandy . I can't even imagine what those young boys where thinking as they were getting off the boats on D-day. All of the memorials were done very well and will leave you speechless   Germany Pillbox   This is the view from inside. Very narrow opening.        Notice the color difference. Those young men where dropped off where the dark shade starts. It was high tide when we visited. Its a very long beach during low tide.   Same with the picture below. If you look to the upper left right above the red roof, you will see a pillbox .      This wall is huge and long with all the names of all the Missing in Action Yes the Coast Guard was involved in the invasion, hard to believed that we only had one person missing. "Some must die so others might live" Winston Chur...

Welcome to

Scotland There should be no surprise that us girls would go here.  The first day we drove around and found a really cute B and B. The next day we picked up Kristlynne. ( that's Kristas sister in law) I know what your thinking two crazy gals was trouble but three crazy gals. All 3 of us have some kind of connection with Scotland. As we were driving back from Sterling we stopped at the  Kelpies . These horse heads are huge. They can be seen from the highway. A lot of creativity and work when into creating these. As an artist I can really respect what the artist has created. ...

Ireland part 2

After our busy day of travel, we finally checked into our cute little hotel. Very friendly staff and very helpful. The next morning we were up early to catch a train to cork. We used Viator to book our three days trip. I highly recommend using this site for all of your travel tours.  Saw lots of the most beautiful country side. When out of the city there is lot of green. Can differently see why it's called the Emerald Isle. One of the stops along the way was the  Cliffs of Moher . Amazing work by Mother Earth. These cliffs are 700 ft above the Atlantic Ocean.    I love this picture of my feet hanging off the cliff, was  kinda a rush. Wind was lightly blowing + salty smell in the air + watching the waves hit the rocks below = Peacefulness We stopped in Cobh was once known as Cove also known as Queenstown. Why is this important you might be wondering. This was the last port of call for the Titanic before she ...
