Small items to pack.

Wow, I can't believe it but only two more weeks till I get to go on an amazing adventure. Going with one of my Besties, looking forward to meeting new people, traveling more of the world and just the experience of life.

Here, are a few more items that I feel was a must have for international traveling. There are items that aren't pictured or listed that will be needed too. Depending on if you are staying at a hotel or a hostel. If you staying at a hostel the list will be longer. Including a personal lock for the lockers that they have,  shower shoes, a towel to to name a few.

I had bought an international wall charger from REI for $30. I had found one for $10 at TJ Max. So I will be returning that one and going with the one from TJ's. Hopeful it is just as good. I've heard that compression socks are a must. There are many online. They go up to $30. I found a pair at TJ Max for $4.99, of course they are not fancy by any means, just a simple black. I think they will just as good. Bought a micro fiber towel off of ebay, $4. It's the length and width of a standard towel but can be rolled up really small. That's for when I stay at a hostel. Also remember to bring shower shoes of some sort for staying at a hostel. They get cleaned but hundreds of people use the everyday. (Do not want any foot fungus here)

Shoes are a big thing too. There will be a lot of tourist walking, I want them to look cute but also to be comfortable. Guess the Europeans frown on flip flops (which I wear for everything) and tennis shoes. So have been shoe shopping. Not really that fun since I would rather be barefoot. My mother has tired to get me to wear sketchers. They just don't feel right to me. But she loves them and won't wear anything else really.  I found a really nice pair of Born black boots.

Bought some Exofficio  travel undies. They were on sale at REI. Normally $30, I was able to get them for $15. I gave some of them a try. They seem to be pretty good. They are really soft and comfy. They didn't take long to dry. Awesome!!! Didn't want to pack 15 days worth. Not sure how often I will be able to do laundry, so hand washing is going to work out perfectly. They are advertised as 17 countries in 6 weeks, that's for one pair. I'm not the brave, so I have 5, just in case.

This is just a small list of items that I felt was needed. A lot of these items are light and easy to pack and can be hand washed with ease. Just remember that when you are staying at a hostel a little more items are needed then if you where staying at a hotel. And no staying in a hostel is not like the movie Hostel.

Trip cost (will be updated as preps are made)
Passport renewal $110

Eagle Creek 22 switchback $260 from eBay

If you already own some of the stuff or could borrow from someone, will help save on your trip.

Vatican City then headed home

As I finish up sharing my trip to Europe, I have started making plans to go to Australia.  Its hard to believe that it has been a year already since my last adventure. I must say a great way of finish up this amazing trip is going to the Vatican . My Aunt and I had purchased our tickets for the museum a head of time to avoid the lines. Highly recommend do this. As we waited for out time to enter the museum, we decided to walk around a bit. We decided to go in to Vatican City. We noticed that there were large crowds forming. Turns out that on Wednesdays that Pope Francis has a papal audience and gives mass . . We decided that you cant come to Vatican City and not see the Pope if he is having mass. There was a few hours before it stat, so we went to the museum. The last supper painted by Leonardo da Vinci The tombs were just fantastic to see, such great detail, telling a story.
