More Scotland fun

Just a few more things that we enjoyed during our trip. We had rented a car. Drove on the opposite side of the road and wait for it, drove a stick shift.  Fun!! And if I never see a round about again, I won't be to sad. Krista was great navigating us. (If you ever go pay the extra $50 a day and get the GPS, TRUST US). Tried haggis for the first and last time. So gross. Had some amazing Scottish scones and Scottish Lorne sausage. That has been my favorite breakfast since I was a little girl and still is. My dad's side of the family is from Glasgow. My great grandmother is buried there and hope one day to make it back and visit her grave. Sadly time was running short. I did get to see the area of where my father was born. The flat above the pub is no longer there. I did get to see the street and the pub. That was still pretty exciting. Hey, Harry Potter fans

Are any of you guys Harry Potter fans. Then you really want to make sure that you get a chance to check out some of these stops. So randomly during this trip we stopped at some of Harry Potter hot spots. I enjoyed all of the movies. Krista read the books, saw the movies and is a HUGE fan. This school was an inspiration for the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was actually a quick stop during our haunted tour of Edinburgh, as we walked through the cemetery. The Balmoral hotel is where the last book was created. Very nice hotel inside. Before you go in there is a Bellhop that gets the door for you. I think that is so cool. Gives it more of a real rich feeling.  You can have a tea day which includes different flavored teas and 3 tier tray of lovely desserts.  Yummy! The rail bridge you see in this picture was used as the Hogwarts express train . We didn't get a chance to take the train ride. Sadly, it was all booked for the week that we were the
