Ireland part 2

After our busy day of travel, we finally checked into our cute little hotel. Very friendly staff and very helpful. The next morning we were up early to catch a train to cork. We used Viator to book our three days trip. I highly recommend using this site for all of your travel tours.

Saw lots of the most beautiful country side. When out of the city there is lot of green. Can differently see why it's called the Emerald Isle. One of the stops along the way was the Cliffs of Moher. Amazing work by Mother Earth. These cliffs are 700 ft above the Atlantic Ocean.

I love this picture of my feet hanging off the cliff, was
kinda a rush. Wind was lightly blowing + salty smell in the air + watching the waves hit the rocks below = Peacefulness

We stopped in Cobh was once known as Cove also known as Queenstown. Why is this important you might be wondering. This was the last port of call for the Titanic before she left on her maiden voyage. In the movie Titanic it was referred as Queenstown. She also had to anchor out, the ship was to large to moor up to the pier. The Titanic was also built in Belfast, Ireland. That well be my first stop when I go back.

This is commemorating her first and final voyage.
This is the harbor that the Titanic had anchored in.

We stayed 2 nights in Killarmey. Cute little town. There was a castle that we had walked too.  Pretty sure that the B an B that we stayed at was haunted. When you hear someone trying to use a key to get in their room and you open your door to help and see nobody. Or hear any foot steps this place was really old, a mouse could walk on floor and would creek. Also talking to the other ladies that where staying there were on the first floor, our room was on the second. They heard nothing. And Krista said she felt like someone was in the room walking around. You just put that out of your mind till after you have check out and talk about it later in a different country.

This little place still used Skeleton keys for the bedrooms
I will say that the hostess was really sweet and made an amazing breakfast. Pretty sure that home was pre WWII.

One of the days was a full day bus ride of the Ring of Kerry. Beautiful countryside. So green and lush.

Till next time, sit back and enjoy the view.

Welcome to

Scotland There should be no surprise that us girls would go here.  The first day we drove around and found a really cute B and B. The next day we picked up Kristlynne. ( that's Kristas sister in law) I know what your thinking two crazy gals was trouble but three crazy gals. All 3 of us have some kind of connection with Scotland. As we were driving back from Sterling we stopped at the  Kelpies . These horse heads are huge. They can be seen from the highway. A lot of creativity and work when into creating these. As an artist I can really respect what the artist has created. ...

Monterey Fun

My friend Skyler was leaving for a Coast Guard trade school. She is going to go for MST, that is a marina science technician. We thought we should go on one more trip before she left. So we  headed off to one of our favorite places MONTEREY. While we were there we thought it would be fun to go diving. SOOO we did what any mermaid would do but go to the local dive shop, rent some gear and went diving.  The weather was a perfect 80 degrees. The water temperature was a freezing 50 degrees.  (Just a little cold) Here are a few pictures of the dive. This was a large Sea Hare Slug. He was close to a foot long  (Fun fact they can grow up to 16in long) I have not seen so many sand dollars in one place.  It was a really neat thing to see. That little white speck is an octopus (Just a baby) That's me That's Skyler We also went  looking for Mermaid Tears (sea glass, found a good amount) and did some shopping...

DIY Wedding Ring Box

It's been a while since I shared a DIY project. My little brother got married, there's a few projects that I did for this joyous occasion. I am really excited about how they turned out. I wanted to share with everyone the Wedding ring box project. The bride has shown me a picture of one that she liked online. And I thought it would be an easy task to make one instead of buying one. I found this little box at Jo Ann's craft store. Frist I started by removing the hardware. Stained it a dark color. After that was done drying, it was painted with a cream color. Then lightly sanded the corners and some of the flat surfaces, for a rustic look. I used transferable paper to get the image onto the box. I had purchased a small thing of silk and used Polly fill, for where the rings will sit. I did have an oopsie, had put the words inside the lid upside down. It was an easy fix. I couldn't be any happier with the way it turned ...
